PARIS: Vivendi Universal posted yesterday a 7% rise in fourth-quarter sales, boosted by its SFR unit, France's number two mobile-phone operator, which helped compensate for disappointingly weaker music and games sales.
The French telecoms and media group saw sales in the three months to Dec 31 rise to 5.479 billion euros (US$6.67bil) from 5.124 billion euros a year earlier, just above a consensus forecast of 5.431 billion euros in a Reuters poll.
