LOS ANGELES: Directors of Pixar, the computer-animation film studio of Steven Jobs, plan to meet today to consider a bid for the company from Walt Disney Co, a person familiar with the situation said.
The board at Burbank, California-based Disney, the second-biggest US media company, yesterday authorised CEO Robert Iger to bid about US$59 a share in stock, or about US$7bil, for Pixar, the New York Times reported, citing unidentified people who had been briefed on the vote.
