There was scattered interest in oil and gas stocks on Bursa Malaysia yesterday as crude oil prices climbed above US$68 a barrel.
Oil prices, according to a Bloomberg News survey last week, may shoot past US$70 a barrel for the first time in more than four months on concerns that normal supplies may be disrupted. This arises from tense relations between the United States and Iran and violence in Nigeria, Africa's leading oil exporter.
