Rafidah: Act fast to benefit from new EU GSP scheme

KUALA LUMPUR: Those in the private sector should act fast to grab the opportunities under the new European Union Generalised System of Preferences (EU GSP) to boost Malaysian exports to the European market, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said.

“They must know and avail themselves very quickly because competition is such that those who are first will get the market,” she said after the Wanita Umno meeting here yesterday. She had been asked how Malaysian exporters could benefit from the new EU GSP that came into effect on Jan 1.
