Syabas may get nod for water tariff hike

PETALING JAYA: Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas), which has the water supply concession for Selangor, is expected to obtain approval for an average tariff hike of 15% from Jan 1, having met a target in reducing non-revenue water (NRW) that is mainly lost through leakage.

This will give a boost to the earnings of parent company, Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd, as well as help the group in its pipe-replacement programme in the state.
