Texchem Resources Bhd said it has agreed to sell a 30% stake in Ojitex Holdings Sdn Bhd to Oji Paper Co Ltd for RM18.51mil.
“The proposed disposal is to enable Texchem to reprioritise its investments and realise immediate cashflow of about RM18.51mil,” the company told Bursa Malaysia.
Texchem said the disposal would enable it to reduce group borrowings or use part of the proceeds for reinvestment. – AFX-Asia
EBWORX BHD has won a S$2.7mil (RM6.1mil) contract to implement its Digital Credit Management System’s Secured Loan Module for Overseas Chinese Banking Corp Ltd (OCBC).
The contract covered the software licence and professional service fee, eBworx said in a statement.
The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
Chief executive officer Tan Suan Fong said the project marked the third time that Singapore’s OCBC had chosen eBworx to implement its software.
The project was expected to contribute positively to future earnings of eBworx, he added. – Bernama
KPJ Healthcare Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Kumpulan Perubatan (Johor) Sdn Bhd has agreed to acquire 60% in Selangor Medical Centres Sdn Bhd (SMC) from SMC shareholders for RM48mil.
The purchase will be settled via internal funds.
KPJ said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia the stake would be acquired from Koperasi Serbaguna Anak-anak Selangor Bhd, Hashim Abdullah, Pantai Bharu Holdings Sdn Bhd, Shamsuddin Hj Nor, Selangor Amal Holdings Sdn Bhd and Medi-Vision Sdn Bhd.
“The proposed acquisition is in line with KPJ Group’s objective to increase its network of hospitals to locations where private healthcare is in demand,” it said. – AFX-Asia
