THE inadequacy of cellular coverage has long been a sore point that often leads to operators being blamed for cherry picking and expanding only in areas deemed economically attractive. The operators are working with the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to expand mobile coverage in populated areas to 92% from 75% by end-2006.
