The Genting group is making good progress in its efforts to widen its investment horizons, says Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, chairman, president and chief executive.

For the year 2006, the group looks forward to successful ventures overseas and locally in leisure, hospitality and plantations.

Bjorn Lynggaard Olesen, managing director of Dumex (M) Sdn Bhd, sees renewed vigour in building the company's investments in Malaysia.

Dumex had a grand re-launch of its brand this year which included a new look and business direction.

Although Choo Bee Metal Industries Bhd is operating on the downside of the steel product price and de-stocking cycle, the company is still turning in reasonably good profits, its group managing director Simon Soon said.

Choo Bee is fighting for wider market coverage and an increase in exports.
