Tanjong buying power assets in Egypt

TANJONG Plc has signed a conditional agreement for the purchase of EDF International SA's power assets in Egypt for US$307mil (about RM1.2bil). 

A Tanjong statement said yesterday that Kuasa Nusajaya (L) Ltd was buying two power firms, EDF Suez Gulf Power SAE and EDF Port Said East Power SAE, and their common operating company EDF Egyptian Operating Co SAE.
