LONDON: European shares sounded a slight up note Friday as resource stocks provided support and U.S. markets opened higher, while heavyweight retailer Tesco slipped on its sales.
The German DAX 30 index finished up 0.1 percent at 5,194 France's CAC 40 added 0.3 percent to 4,600, while the U.K.'s FTSE 100 gained 0.2 percent to 5,523.
