Petronas: F1 deal with BMW to boost ties


PETROLIAM Nasional Bhd (Petronas) views its sponsorship of the new BMW Sauber F1 team as opening the door to future collaboration with BMW AG in research and development activities in fuel and lubricants. 

Speaking at a ceremony to formalise the partnership agreement in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, Petronas president and chief executive officer Tan Sri Hassan Merican said under the four-year sponsorship deal, Petronas would become the exclusive premium partner for the racing team beginning next year.
