SEOUL, South Korea: Samsung Electronics Co. will provide made-to-order non-memory chips to U.S. wireless technology and handset maker Qualcomm Inc. as part of a partnership, the companies said Wednesday.
Samsung, a leader in producing memory chips such as dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, chips used in personal computers, and NAND flash chips used in digital cameras and music players, wants to increase its market share in the non-memory chip business.
