HONG KONG: The pace of Hong Kong's economic expansion likely slowed in the third quarter as consumers cut back on spending in the face of higher interest rates, economists said.
A Dow Jones Newswires poll of 11 economists projected that the quarter's gross domestic product expanding 6 percent in real terms from the year-earlier period, slowing from the 6.8 percent expansion in the second quarter.
