REXIT Bhd was among the top volume gainers with its share gaining 5 sen, or 10.42%, to close at 53 sen with 7.5 million shares traded after its subsidiary, Rexit Software Sdn Bhd, signed a RM3mil service agreement with Allianz General Insurance yesterday, dealers said. Under the agreement, Rexit would supply its proprietary Integrated Insurance Management System to Allianz. “Investors are maintaining expectation of the company's growth potential,” said a dealer at a local brokerage.
INIX Technologies Holdings Bhd fell 1½ sen, or 2.24%, to close at 65 sen yesterday. However, dealers did not see this as a negative impact on prices, as the company is one of Malaysia's major players in the intelligent home systems market. “The counter share price fall was mainly due to profit-taking activity after recent gains,” said a dealer.
MAA Holdings Bhd share price closed down 12 sen, or 3.14%, to RM3.70 yesterday after its latest financial results fell short of investors’ expectations, dealers said. The company recorded a net loss of RM2.03mil, or 1.33 sen a share, for its third quarter ended Sept 30. “Investors were still selling due to the weaker-than-expected results,” said a dealer.
