SINGAPORE: Export-oriented Singapore on Thursday raised its GDP growth forecast for 2005 to 5 percent from between 3.5 percent to 4.5 percent earlier, citing an improving global economy which boosted biomedical exports in the third quarter.
But the government warned tight supply and high demand for oil, and a bird flu pandemic could derail world economic expectations.
