ONE can't help but feel awed by the achievement of IOI group's Sagil Estate, which registered 8.23 tonnes of crude palm oil (CPO) per ha with record breaking fresh fruit bunches' (FFB) production of 3.82 tonnes per ha for financial year ended June 30, 2005.
It is already the envy of many plantation companies – the industry's average is about four tonnes per ha per year. For IOI group executive chairman Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng, “nothing is impossible”.
