LONDON: European markets ended broadly lower Thursday amid a swell of earnings, lowered outlooks from France Telecom and Alcatel and weak U.S. trading.
Germany's DAX Xetra 30 index ended down 1.9 percent at 4,806, France's CAC-40 index shed 1.7 percent at 4,336 and the U.K. FTSE 100 index lost 0.9 percent at 5,182.
