Tata Tea to buy herbal tea firm Good Earth


NEW DELHI: India's Tata Tea Ltd, whose brands include Tetley, agreed to buy closely held FMALI Herb Inc to gain the Good Earth tea business, one of the fastest-growing specialty brands in the US. Terms weren't disclosed.  

Good Earth, located in Santa Cruz, California, makes green, white and herbal teas. The group has 3.7% of the US specialty-tea market and sales in excess of US$16mil, Kolkata, India-based Tata Tea said yesterday in a statement.
