SEVERAL fund managers argue that the proposal to reintroduce regulated short selling in Bursa Malaysia to improve its liquidity may be approved but will have to be implemented cautiously.
Pacific Mutual Fund Bhd chief investment officer Geoffrey Ng said for short selling to take place, companies selected must have a fairly high market capitalisation and a large number of free-float shares.
