Ta AnnTHIS Sarawak-based timber giant, with a proven earnings track record, offers one of the best exposures to the timber sector. A Singapore-based brokerage said that with net cash of RM78.1mil as at June 30, coupled with the cash from its operations of about RM120mil per year, Ta Ann could comfortably fund its capital expenditure of RM40mil to RM50mil annually and pay reasonable dividends. The brokerage, however, has a neutral stance on the timber sector, which will not likely be re-rated until more timber companies chalk up solid earnings growth over the next few quarters.
