OLYMPUS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, which holds 19% of the local digital Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera market, is confident of raising its market share to 30% with the introduction of the new Olympus E-500 camera in Kuala Lumpur.
Olympus managing director Tan Tick Boon told reporters yesterday that he was confident its market share would rise to 30% by next year, making Olympus one of the key camera brands in the local market.
