Malaysia International Shipping Corp (MISC) Bhd stands to reap big gains should rising natural gas prices drive the United States to turn to liquefied natural gas (LNG) as an alternative energy source.

Natural gas prices have hit a high of US$14.58 per mmbtu (million British thermal units) following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which are 50% higher than prices last winter. This rising trend is expected to continue into this winter and the rest of the decade.
