AUSTRALIAN stocks should be able to continue their record-breaking run this week but much depends on the severity of any damage caused by Hurricane Rita in the southern US and its impact on oil prices, dealers said on Friday.
They said markets have largely digested the impact of Hurricane Katrina, which pushed oil prices to record highs above US$70 at one stage, but Rita might be more problematic if it adds to the damage already done.
