Salcon unit takes over China water ops

SALCON Yunnan (HK) Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Salcon Bhd, via its joint-venture company Chenggong Salcon Water Co Ltd, has taken over the management and operations of the water supply system in Chenggong county, which is also known as Modern New Kunming in Yunnan province, China. 

The company said in a statement the 60:40 joint venture with Chenggong County Water Supply Co would undertake the construction of a water treatment plant with an initial capacity of 20 million litres per day (mld) expandable to 60mld, on a fast-track basis to meet the immediate demand for Modern New Kunming.
