US buyout firm finds Asian partner, plans fund


HONG KONG: Thomas H Lee Partners, a US buyout firm, is teaming up with H&Q Asia Pacific to jointly pursue opportunities in Greater China, Japan and South Korea, an H&Q executive said. 

H&Q Asia Pacific named former J.P. Morgan banker Andrew Kuo as its head for Greater China, where he has worked for more than 17 years and has been the head of Hong Kong investment banking for JP Morgan since 2002.
