Revolution of shopping centres

THE participants at the three-day Asian Conference of Shopping Centres 2005 in Kuala Lumpur last week, which saw the formation of the Council of Asian Shopping Centres (CASC), heard of the region’s burgeoning shopping centre industry.

Besides learning and exchanging information on the usual industry issues, the nearly 200 participants were also briefed on some of the latest malls, including the proposed Dubai Mall, slated to be the biggest shopping centre in the world.
