Lutfi’s strong push to woo foreign investments

FOR foreign investors to Indonesia, Muhammad Lutfi, chairman of Investment Coordinating Board (ICB) is the man they want to meet for advice.

Having succeeded in building his own business empire – the public-listed Mahaka Group of which he is the president and CEO – he knows a lot about investing, particularly in attracting foreign investments.

He has played an instrumental role in helping Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) win office and is the natural choice to lead the board set up by the SBY Government to attract foreign investments into the country.

During his packed two-day visit to Kuala Lumpur recently, Lutfi shares his views on Indonesia’s strong push to regain its position as an investment destination in the region.
