THE Government may further delay the introduction of the National Automotive Policy (NAP) to accommodate some last-minute modifications arising from the recent controversy on the management of approved permits (APs) for vehicles.
Industry sources said the modifications could include tightening the AP policy further to prevent abuses such as incidences of vehicles being imported at far below their cost, as well as the rampant practice of importing tuned-up cars.
