THE retirement of Proton Holdings Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Tengku Tan Sri Mahaleel Tengku Ariff marks a transition for the national car company. Mahaleel, who is being retired, had arguably one of the most high profile and toughest jobs in corporate Malaysia. He has been the face and identity for Proton for the past eight years.
