MAA: Proton market share down, Perodua’s up

PROTON cars lost five percentage points in market share to 40% for the first six months of the year from 45% a year ago but Perodua vehicles saw an increase of two percentage points to 32% from 30% during the same period, said the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Datuk Aishah Ahmad. 

For year to June, total Proton car sales were 75,983 units against last year’s 77,890.
