THE functions of local internal and external auditors need to be reviewed to strengthen their responsibilities and professionalism, said Bursa Malaysia chief executive officer Yusli Mohamed Yusoff.
He said internal and external auditors played the most significant role in ensuring proper internal controls were in place and that the required standards and regulations were adhered to.
