Johor Baru is still the preferred place for Singaporean house buyers because of its proximity to the republic. Many of them treat Johor as their “second home” although some of them still own houses back home.
Some of these Singaporeans only stay in their Johor Baru homes during the weekends while others choose to stay here due to the low cost of living. They still work in Singapore and send their children to school there.
