SHARES in chip maker Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) ended yesterday 30 sen lower, or 2.48%, to RM11.80 amid market concerns that a stronger ringgit would adversely affect the semiconductor industry.
Analysts said chip makers were expected to suffer some negative impact if the ringgit was revaluated below RM3.80 against the US dollar as their earnings relied almost exclusively on exports.
