Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) wants to focus on small- and medium-scaled enterprises (SMEs) and industries (SMIs) for the next three years as part of its strategy to promote the use of its online financial portal Maybank2e.net.
Among the SMEs and SMIs that currently conduct their financial transactions online, about 18% to 21% are Maybank customers, according to executive vice-president and head of enterprise financial services group Muhamad Umar Swift.
