THE Malaysian economy is projected to have had a soft second quarter but growth should rebound in the second half of the year fuelled by rising exports of electronics and oil, said an economist from JPMorgan.
If oil stays at current levels and if electronics exports improve, that is a double barrel shotgun for Malaysian exports in the second half of the year,'' said David G. Fernandez, managing director of JPMorgan Chase Bank in Singapore.
