Khazanah begins talks for stake in Indonesia’s Bank Lippo


KHAZANAH Nasional Bhd has begun talks to buy at least 25% of PT Bank Lippo, Indonesia's ninth largest lender by assets, as it seeks to expand in the region. 

“The purpose of the proposed investment, if implemented, is as a strategic financial investment and commitment by Khazanah to the Indonesian financial and banking sector,'' Khazanah said in a statement. The statement did not say who it was in talks with.
