TOKYO (AP) - Tokyo stocks closed lower Tuesday as traders sold auto issues and other blue chips as the U.S. dollar weakened against the Japanese yen and the euro.
The Nikkei Stock Average of 225 issues fell 53.17 points, or 0.47 percent, to 11,217.45 points.
