MANILA, Philippines (AP) - Philippine shares closed sharply lower Tuesday, ending seven consecutive sessions of gains, on a technical correction triggered by a slew of political concerns, traders said.
The benchmark 30-company Philippine Stock Exchange Index ended down 48.02 points, or 2.3 percent, at 2,003.02, after rising 10 percent over the past seven sessions.
