STOCKBROKING companies are aggressively diversifying their revenue base from solely depending on brokerage fees in view of the current weak equity market, Ernst & Young senior manager for risk and business solutions Woon Mee Lin said.
In 2003, 64% of the industry's revenue came from brokerage fees and in the first half of last year, the figure was down to 58%.
