PERAK may be a latecomer in embracing information and communications technology (ICT), but it has come up with a blueprint for future ICT usage to stimulate its economy that once depended on tin mining.
To implement the strategies mapped out in the blueprint, Perak will invest about RM1.3bil over a five-year period beginning this year so that it would be able to leapfrog to become a knowledge-based state (K-state) by 2010.
