Golden Plus Holdings Bhd's share price closed 15 sen higher, or 32.6%, to 61 sen yesterday on what dealers said was a technical rebound after four consecutive days of losses. “The stock is now on a rebound,'' a dealer at a local brokerage said of the counter, which was the day's second most heavily traded.

  • Kuantan Flour Mills Bhd shares rose 32 sen, or 40%, to RM1.12, recouping some of the losses in the past four trading days, dealers said. A dealer at a local brokerage said investor sentiment seemed to have improved yesterday, but added that buying interest might not be sustainable as the market had been generally quiet all week due to a lack of fresh news.

  • EON Capital Bhd shares continued to fall, closing 20 sen lower at RM5.45, due to selling by institutional investors who were trimming their holdings of the stock, dealers said. “I haven’t heard of any news that could trigger the selling. Perhaps some investors want to reorganise their investment portfolios,” the dealer said, noting that selling pressure on the stock began on Monday.
