MALAYSIA and China should scrap their fixed exchange rates to avoid distortions in currency values, according to Rating Agency Malaysia Bhd.
“A flexible exchange rate is more desirable in the long term because it allows market forces to work,” executive director Wong Fook Wah said in an interview in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
