TOKYO: McDonald's Japan, the country's largest fast-food chain, reported yesterday its first-quarter net profit more than tripled thanks to strong sales at new and existing restaurants, and kept its full-year forecast.
McDonald's Holdings Co Ltd (Japan), almost 50% owned by US fast-food giant McDonald's Corp, attracted more customers to its 3,759 eateries in the three months than it did a year before as it continued to renovate the outlets.
