Carotech closes at 50 sen on debut

CAROTECH Bhd shares opened at 47.5 sen on their debut on Bursa Malaysia's Mesdaq market yesterday for a 7.5 sen premium, or about 19%, over the initial public offer (IPO) price of 40 sen each. The stock, which was the day's second most active counter, closed at 50 sen for a 10 sen gain on volume of 18.3 million shares. 

“The opening price was very good and augured well for the company. It is a further indication of what the company can do,” chairman Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad said.
