HONG KONG: The deputy chief executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority has resigned for personal reasons, the territory's central bank said.
Norman Chan, who was widely seen as heir apparent to HKMA chief Joseph Yam, said in a statement on the bank's website that he was resigning after nearly 30 years in the public service to study overseas.
