OCBC Bank plans to invest RM75mil in Malaysia to set up cross-border processing centres for selected back office operations in the next two years, said chief executive officer David Conner.
The amount is part of the RM120mil the bank plans to invest in Malaysia and Singapore. The processing centres would increase efficiency by allowing most banking applications to be performed online.
