US-BASED GE International, via its financial services arm, is keen to buy stakes in Malaysia’s domestic banks, said its director for market development Shariman Zain Yusof.
“Malaysia is one of the countries where we lack a presence (in terms of owning a stake in a financial institution). We are keen on all domestic banks and are actively pursing this so that we can own stakes in them.
