MALAYSIA will consider allowing short-selling of shares but would first weigh whether the practice could be used to manipulate markets, Second Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said yesterday.
He also said the Government would continue selling down its stakes in state-linked companies such as Tenaga Nasional and Telekom Malaysian where appropriate.
