HUNZA Properties Bhd has kicked off construction work on its RM200mil mixed project, Alila, on an 18-acre site in Tanjung Bungah.

Group executive chairman Datuk Khor Teng Tong told StarBiz the project was launched during this period, when property prices were on the low side, so that purchasers could grab the opportunity to buy affordable homes in a prime location.

The project, located on a hill slope, comprises 166 two- and three-storey terraced villas and 256 condominium units in two 19-storey towers.

Khor said the key selling points of the villas were the price, starting from RM676,000, and the special landscaping surrounding the landed properties.

“We have allocated RM4mil for the special landscaping, which includes water curtains, fountains, courtyards, and a high-ceiling clubhouse with swimming pool.

“Another drawcard is the spaciousness of the villas, from 1,600 to 3,600 sq ft. Each villa comes with two car parking spaces. There are large windows for the bedrooms and living rooms so that natural light can flow in. Each floor has its own balcony, equipped with a small garden,” he added.

The condominium units, priced from RM299,000, come in 10 designs with built-up of 1,290 sq ft and 3,130 sq ft. There is extensive use of glass windows to allow natural lighting and panoramic views.

“Each unit has a nine-foot balcony for the family to enjoy the view from,” Khor said.

The landed and high-rise properties, separated by fencing, have their own recreational facilities and security.

Khor said the group planned to launch another high-rise condominium in Tanjung Bungah before the end of the year.

“It is a RM168mil sea-fronting project, comprising super units with built-up area ranging from 3,500 to 4,500 sq ft. Low density is among the key features, as there are only two units per floor,” he said.
