SEOUL: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, the world's largest maker of memory chips, expects its semiconductor sales to jump by more than a quarter this year, an executive said.
Hwang Chang-gyu, president of Samsung's semiconductor business, forecast the company's chip sales this year would top US$20bil against around US$16bil in 2004, a company spokesman quoted him as saying.
